Which edition supports microphone commands?

Nintendo lists Oatchi microphone commands among the Switch 2 Edition additions. Do not look for the feature in the original version and assume a missing option means your controller is broken. The full edition is scheduled for November 12, 2026; this page was verified before release, on November 3.

The edition guide separates the base adventure, demo and new features. That distinction is the first troubleshooting step, before changing microphones or console settings.

Why do voice commands not work in the demo?

Nintendo explicitly excludes the microphone feature from the demo. If you are evaluating the trial, use its supported on-screen controls. Repeatedly changing audio settings cannot enable a feature the demo does not contain. The demo can help you assess its available adventure and Academy material, but it cannot be used here as a verified test of voice recognition quality.

Are spoken commands the same as Command skill levels?

No. Input method and trained ability are different layers. Oatchi’s Command skill has progression uses documented in the skills guide; microphone control is a product feature. Do not assume speaking a request unlocks an action that your current save has not earned.

For the original game, Nintendo’s recruit guide describes using the command menu for scent-based help. That remains a useful reference when planning a task without relying on microphone support.

What should you check when the full feature is available?

First verify the installed edition and the mode you are using. Then follow the actual in-game setup prompts and supported command instructions. Check the game’s response after issuing a request rather than assuming it was understood. If a task is time-sensitive, use a control method you can confirm reliably.

This is a preparation checklist, not a hands-on troubleshooting report. We have not verified the full recognized phrase list, language support matrix, sensitivity settings or behavior with every microphone accessory. Those details stay unclaimed until supported by official instructions or reliable testing.

How should voice input fit into a Dandori plan?

Plan around successful task assignment, not the novelty of an input method. A command only helps if it starts the intended job and you notice when it does not. Keep your route and task order understandable with ordinary controls first. The Dandori practice guide recommends changing one variable per attempt, which also makes input experiments easier to evaluate.

Existing owners considering the feature should use the Upgrade Pack checklist before buying. A demo limitation, a missing skill and the wrong product entitlement are three different problems with different remedies.
