Which regions are in Pikmin 4?
The six main exploration regions are Sun-Speckled Terrace, Blossoming Arcadia, Serene Shores, Hero’s Hideaway, Giant’s Hearth and Primordial Thicket. Rescue Command Post is your hub, so do not treat it as another interchangeable expedition region. The later names can reveal the adventure’s direction; skip ahead only as far as you want to know.
| Region | Planning focus for a first visit |
|---|---|
| Sun-Speckled Terrace | Learn the surface/cave split and start a reliable collection record. |
| Blossoming Arcadia | Scout a small set of reachable tasks before committing the whole day. |
| Serene Shores | Check how water affects both workers and the carrying route. |
| Hero’s Hideaway | Keep the current story objective separate from optional cleanup. |
| Giant’s Hearth | Reassess your available types and Oatchi abilities before returning to old blockers. |
| Primordial Thicket | Bring a deliberate plan for remaining progression rather than assuming every earlier tactic transfers. |
The right column contains planning suggestions, not an exhaustive mechanic list or an optimized route.
How do you avoid repeating the same scouting trip?
Keep three notes per region: unfinished objective, blocker, next preparation. “Treasure left” is too vague. “Known treasure, blocked crossing, need suitable water solution” gives you a reason to change the next squad. When the blocker is unknown, make scouting itself the goal instead of promising a full collection run.
Record the cave name as well as the region. A missing cave treasure will not be solved by repeatedly sweeping the surface. The cave guide explains how to prepare at the entrance and review before descending.
What is covered by the first-area database?
The Sun-Speckled Terrace tracker includes 14 surface treasure entries and 20 entries across Last-Frost Cavern, Crackling Cauldron, Aquiferous Summit, Industrial Maze and Hectic Hollows. Dandori activities and other collectible systems are not silently included in that treasure total.
This precise boundary matters. A full first-area treasure list is useful; presenting it as a complete six-region database would not be. For a location breakdown and the two repeated-name cases, use the Terrace treasure reference.
When is it worth returning to an earlier area?
Return when you can name what has changed: a new type, a matching Onion, a useful Oatchi skill or a newly understood route. Group nearby unfinished tasks only after checking their dependencies. Finish the first safe delivery before expanding the plan. The walkthrough roadmap keeps these collection visits in context with the story.
