FAQ

Does 100% in the tracker mean 100% of Pikmin 4?
No. It means the covered entries in your selected area are checked. All areas includes 54 entries, with Arcadia caves excluded.
Does the tracker connect to my game save?
No. You mark progress manually, and it is stored in your browser.

Why is a treasure still missing after you found it?

Discovery, transport and delivery are three different states. Finding an object tells you where the next job is; it does not prove that the carrying route is clear or the delivery has finished. Before checking an entry, confirm the game’s collection result. If a group stops, inspect the route and the remaining carrying requirement instead of sending more workers blindly.

Which tool should you use to locate a missing item?

Nintendo’s recruit guide describes the Radar Map’s treasure markers in explored space and the Treasure Gauge’s response near treasure. Use those in-game tools for position. A web checklist is a memory aid: it can tell you which recorded item is unchecked, but it cannot know whether you explored a particular corner or delivered something on another save.

Our Treasure Tracker offers source links, area and cave filters and sublevel labels. It deliberately contains no guessed coordinates. If a location remains unclear, use the linked community area or cave reference and compare it with your actual map.

How should you handle caves and repeated treasure names?

Filter by location first, then search the name. Two items with the same name may be separate instances. Sun-Speckled Terrace has two Perforated Raft entries, so checking one does not complete both. Cave progress belongs to its own location and sublevel rather than the surface bucket.

Gold Nuggets need special care. The Aquiferous Summit pile contains ten nuggets but counts as one treasure completion entry in this dataset. Check that row after finishing the pile; summing its physical quantity would inflate the apparent completion target. The Terrace subset therefore has 34 entries, 33 distinct names and 43 physical units. The additional Arcadia surface subset adds 20 entries, including three separate Cupid’s Grenades. Choose an area before assessing its progress: Arcadia’s 40 underground entries are not yet in this tool.

What is a reliable cleanup routine?

  1. Compare the game’s location progress with the tracker filter for that location.
  2. Investigate unchecked entries and correct any checkbox that was marked before delivery.
  3. Note the concrete blocker: hazard, capacity, buried item or inaccessible path.
  4. Prepare a squad for that blocker using the Pikmin reference.
  5. Export your updated checklist after a substantial session.

Exports contain checklist IDs and completion state, not game save data. Importing a web checklist cannot alter your Nintendo save or recover a treasure automatically.

How do you preserve progress between devices?

The tracker uses this browser’s local storage. Clearing site data, using private browsing or switching browsers can remove or separate that progress. Export JSON before moving devices, then import it on the destination. Treat this as a personal checklist backup, not cloud synchronization. For the wider adventure, keep the completion checklist alongside your regional treasure record.
